Passing of Jimmy Yerks |
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of James Yerks, Treasurer of the Cos Cob Volunteer Fire Company. Jimmy passed away Monday October 1st at Greenwich Hospital. There are no arrangements as of yet, more details to follow shortly. |

Barn Fire |
Greenwich and Westchester firefighters responded to a barn fire on the town line at approximately midnight. Fully involved when units first arrived and lack of water sources, a prime concern became to protect exposures. Click here for pictures. |

Animal Hospital Fire |

Structure Fire |
A fire broke out at a home in Riverside at approximately 9pm, prompting a five station response to the call. Luckily no one was home at the time but one firefighter was injured in the blaze. Details provided by the Greenwich Time. |

Open House 2006 |
The Cos Cob Fire Company held it's annual open house today with an exceptional turnout despite the rainy weather. Members of the community came out to tour the station, learn about fire safety, and of course look at the fire trucks! |

Fire Day at Camp Seton |
The kids get to play around with the hose's and spray the staff members who are in the water in the canoes and boats. Boat 2 stands by for water rescues while we also have fun going through the water streams. |

Rescue Boat |
Santa visited Station 2 early this year, dropping off a brand new 13' Fire/Rescue boat for the volunteers at Cos Cob. The boat will primarily serve in the winter time for ice water rescues.
